ARCHAELOGICAL SITE OF ATAPUERCA AND MUSEUM OF HUMAN EVOLUTION:

 

A World Heritage Site since 2000, the Atapuerca Site is one of the most important in the Palaeolithic world for containing the oldest human remains in Europe and offering an almost uninterrupted trajectory of the evolution of cultures dating back more than a million years.
Access from the CAYAC Visitor Reception Center of Ibeas de Juarros is 10 minutes from the Hotel. Your visit is complemented by the also essential Museum of Human Evolution of Burgos.

PALEOLITICO VIVO IN SALGUERO DE JUARROS

 

Where you will have the opportunity to live an experience conceived as a total immersion in Prehistory, in the contemplation of its landscapes and fauna, entering into the day to day of the inhabitants of Prehistory, carrying out their activities and learning their hunting techniques and ways of life. The reserve is linked to a project to reintroduce endangered bison and horses in the surroundings of Atapuerca (Burgos).

 

BURGOS:

From the Hotel Camino de Santiago de Burgos, visiting is possible without a car by taking the bus that stops right in front of the hotel.
On a visit to Burgos you can not miss going to contemplate the Cathedral of Burgos, a UNESCO heritage site. Culminating exponent of the Gothic and open museum museum of sculptural art, with works inside by sculptors such as Juan de Mena, Colonia family, Vallejo, etc. Inside, it also highlights the tomb of El Cid and Mrs. Jimena and the famous Flycatcher
